The photographic portrait session was arranged -- or you might say arraigned -- by Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge John DiMotto in a contempt hearing yesterday, Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 in case 2002PR000502. 

Atty. Leonard V. Brady, 83, had plenty of warning that he would go to the slammer, judging from this item in the court record from November 18th, 2009:

 Court finds that Leonard Brady is in contempt of Court. As a sanction, Court orders that Attorney Brady is to turn over $187,951.20 to Attorney Pyzyk by 9:00 am on December 1, 2009. Case adjourned for a contempt hearing on 12-1-09 at 9:00 am. If money is paid, Court will purge the finding of contempt. If money is not paid, Court will consider a remedial sanction of imprisonment for up to six months or payment of the money owed. Court stays this sanction until 12-1-09. Motion to surcharge bond is deferred to 12-1-09 at 9:00 am. Further conditions set forth on the record. Order to be submitted for Court's signature. M. Hermann-ct. rept. - lel

SUSPENDED MADISON ATTORNEY ALLEGEDLY STIFFS COURT REPORTER FOR $1,700

In other Probate attorney scandal news, Milwaukeeworld received this message from a court reporter in Minneapolis who was stiffed by Atty. Willie Nunnery of Madison, a former Reagan administration appointee who is now suspended for three years [Milwaukeeworld report here] by the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation:

I am a court reporter and Willie Nunnery stuck our office for a nice little bill -- about $1,700.  Would you happen to have his home phone?  I've noticed he's moved out of his office.

Kevin Hartigan

Hartigan says Nunnery approached his firm, saying a client would vouch for his creditworthiness. When contacted later, however, the client said it had never heard of Nunnery.
