KENNEDY TO HEAD GAB
Say hello to Kevin Kennedy, who wispolitics.com tells us will be the first head of the new Government Accountability Board, the agency created by the legislature earlier this year to combine the functions of the State Ethics Board and the State Elections Board.
Kennedy currently is head of the Elections Board, and he beat out board attorney Jonathan Becker, Milwaukee Assistant District Attorney Linda Johnson, Roth Judd of the Ethics board and Daniel Olson of the League of Municipalities for the position.
Milwaukeeworld called Kennedy for a comment, but got his voice mail identifying him as being with the Government Accountability Board, and directing us to press "0" to be connected with the receptionist for the Elections Board, if needed.
Seems like the agency is still getting to know itself.
