FORMER DEPUTY GETS 20 YEARS IN CHILD SEX CASE

Robert J. Dietrich, 32, a former Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy, received a 20 year sentence for the repeated sexual assault of a minor, a Class B Felony. Charges of intimidating the victim were dropped, but read into the sentencing record.
The sentence was handed down this afternoon by Judge William Brash. It calls for Dietrich to serve 13 years of the sentence in prison, with seven years of extended supervision upon his release. His victim will be 35 at the end of that time. Dietrich will turn 33 on Friday.
