TROHA OUT OF KENOSHA CASINO DEAL

By Michael Horne

A press release issued late today says that businessman Dennis Troha is no longer involved in plans for an Indian casino in Kenosha at the site of the Dairyland Greyhound Park. No reason was given for his decision, and no replacement was named as a lead financial partner in the project of the Menominee and Mohegan tribes. The move does not affect the plans the tribes to develop the dog track into a casino. It is uncertain how this change might be greeted by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Department of Interior, which must grant approval for the plans to proceed.
However, some folks in Kenosha are already saying, "Bozho, Bodewadmi!"*

* Translation: "Hello, Potawatomi."

It makes me so angry with the adds on tv about the casino deal. How much money does the casino give back to us? What do they use it for? Just think of HOW many jobs this facility would bring to Wisconsin... Hmm sounds like a good idea to me
